Driveway Care Tips

After paving your driveway, it’s important to follow these care tips:

Avoid Use: Refrain from using the driveway for 3-4 days after paving.
Curing Time: Asphalt takes about a year to fully cure.
Preventative Measures: Use caution with items like lawn chairs, kickstands, and trailer jacks to avoid leaving marks, especially on hot days.
Steering Wheel: When turning your steering wheel, try to avoid being at a complete stop to prevent scuffs.
Sealcoating: Do not sealcoat for a year after installation.
Oil Spills: Motor oil dripped in one spot for a long time can damage the asphalt.

To Seal or Not to Seal

While we currently do not offer sealcoating, it can be beneficial for aesthetics and protecting against vehicle oil leaks. Sealcoat should not be applied more than every other year or until stones in the asphalt turn white.
